Grammy-winning Burna Boy has beaten Wizkid to win the Best International Act’ category at the 2021 edition of the BET Awards.

The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate Afican and African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

The 2021 edition of the Award took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The Grammy winner who was nominated along side Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz of Tanzania, Emicida  of Brazil, Headie One  Young T & Bugsey of the United Kingdom, Youssoupha and Aya Nakamura from France.

The African Giant has won the the Best International Act category for the third time in a row. He won it  at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards.

The Nigerian Female Singer, Tems also lost the ‘Best International New Act’ gong to Bree Runway, the English singer and songwriter.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were among the biggest winners on the night, with the former announcing her pregnancy during a live performance.
