The University of Ilorin, UNILORIN resumption date has caused students of the institution to protest and throw shade at the school on social media.

This is coming after the University announced different resumption dates for students at various levels with the majority of them resuming on December 15, 2022.

Some students maintain that the institution’s announcement dashed every hope they had after ASUU called off the 8-month-old strike which began on February 14.

Prior to this time, UNILORIN resumption date was announced via a statement issued by the institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Alhaji Kunle Akogun”.

The statement reads in part: “The Final Year and Postgraduate students are expected back on campus on Monday, 24th October, 2022, while other categories of returning students will resume on December 15th when the 2021/2022 academic session commences.”.

Students have however taken to Twitter to express their displeasure over the development. While some mock the university, others simply lamented. See some reactions below:

Meanwhile, returning students from the faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine have resumed today, October 24 to complete their rain semester examinations which were paused as a result of the strike in February.
