Phyna has publicly accused social media activist VeryDarkMan of harassment and betrayal following the tragic death of her younger sister, Ruth Otabor.

The renewed controversy has triggered massive reactions online after both personalities exchanged accusations over how the case involving Ruth’s fatal accident was handled.

Tragic Accident That Started The Controversy

Ruth Otabor reportedly suffered severe injuries after being hit by a truck near Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State in August 2025.

Reports claimed one of her legs was amputated before she later died from complications linked to the accident.

Following the incident, Phyna had publicly sought support and justice online, with VeryDarkMan becoming actively involved in raising awareness around the case.

Phyna Accuses VDM Of Harassment

In emotional videos and social media posts, Phyna alleged that VeryDarkMan exploited her vulnerable state during the period she was grieving her sister.

The reality star claimed the activist made unwanted sexual advances toward her while he was helping with the case.

According to reports, she also shared alleged chat screenshots where VeryDarkMan supposedly expressed sexual interest in her.

Phyna further accused him of sabotaging discussions involving representatives connected to the accident case and claimed his public involvement complicated efforts surrounding justice for her late sister.

She also denied allegations that she demanded ₦1 billion, a house and a car as compensation, insisting she was unfairly portrayed online.

VeryDarkMan Fires Back

Reacting to the accusations, VeryDarkMan reportedly denied claims that he ever conditioned his support on sexual favours.

The activist questioned the authenticity of the leaked chats and insisted conversations were taken out of context.

He also accused Phyna of focusing more on compensation demands than urgent medical treatment for her late sister during the crisis period.

VeryDarkMan further claimed he was sidelined after initially supporting the campaign for justice.

The feud has continued to dominate conversations online, with Nigerians divided over the allegations and counterclaims.

While some users sympathised with Phyna and praised her for speaking out, others demanded complete evidence from both sides before drawing conclusions.
