Failure, An Alternative to Success

Generally you would think its crazy, right? To think failure can be an alternative to success, a better tool to achieve success and greatness.

Generally you would think its crazy, right? To think failure should be an alternative to success, a better tool to help a person achieve success and greatness, yeah it’s crazy.

Failure is regarded as a bad thing, and those labelled, have to live with it till they can break free from it. They might have failed at a point or have been seen as such, will have to nurture the scar and by their selves were labelled instrument of failure.

For those who have seen that nothing can come out of their lives or their lives cannot produce anything good, I say failure is not end.

Let me define what failure is;

Failure is a chance, more like another chance to be better.

It absolutely good and great to fail, but failure may breed fear; fear which is an instrument that propels failure i.e the anxiety of not wanting to fail.

Failure is not a big deal, staying at been a failure is deadly. Staying static and refusing to move or let the cause of nature take its effect of change, is a grave danger.

There are couple of great people who have make miles and have hold the world to ransom through their contribution to education and humanity but failed their way to success.

SOME FAILED SUCCESSFUL INSPIRATIONS

Many of them were called failure  in school or some even dropped out at a point and picked up later.

Who most people might not know but the world holds him a gratitude for his contribution to science and humanity. If you’re using or have ever used anything that has a push “ON” button or you have a generator or have held or been in a system that makes use of “ROTOR” you are indebted to him.

Just like every person, who will be mention here have experienced failure at a point two or little education, he went ahead to never stop doing what he knows best how to do.

Charles Darwin

This Man is regarded as the father of evolution theory amidst other great achievements he had. The theory of how man evolve and came to be. Many of us have joked with the theory of the man about the evolution of man evolving from the apes, when we were in our junior school or senior school. As successful as he was, he envied and loathed mathematics because he was poor at it.

Unlike any other person,he never loose sight of his goals, neither was he discouraged, though he regretted not fully acquainted with the subject.

In his word he said

“The work was repugnant to me,” he wrote, “chiefly from my not being able to see any meaning in the early steps in algebra. This impatience was very foolish, and in after years I have deeply regretted that I did not proceed far enough at least to understand something of the great leading principals of mathematics, for men thus endowed seem to have an extra sense.”

When name Albert Einstein pops up what first comes to your mind. The great scientist who had make his mark in science with his inventions and all.The name has become a house hold name associated with genius though he himself experienced failure at a particular time.

Although the young Albert didn’t speak fluently until he was nine-years-old, that made his teachers to think he was slow. He was expelled from school for his rebellious nature and he refused admittance School. Though he performed well in mathematics and science related subjects but failed every other non-science subjects, such as history, drawing and music etc., due to the change in the German educational structure.

Though he was a  failure to some who considered his weakness a failure, on his side, but he went on to remold the failure, an alternative to success by learning through his mistakes.

He went on to revolutionize science’s understanding of the world. Meanwhile he took physics beyond its Newtonian view by developing the theory of General Relativity.

He won the Nobel Prize, with his research leading the U.S. to build an atomic bomb, and influenced all aspects of culture, from religion, to art, to late-night television.

Many other notable people who failed or didn’t complete education but contributed majorly to science and technology and humanity generally

Wright Brothers, Dell Michael Dell, Thomas Edison, Larry Ellison, Paul Allen and so many others.

Notable Nigerians who failed on the way to academic success but later went on to succeed.

Okay To Fail

Failing a couple of exams or writing a couple of exams all over again, it all okay. Making plans to be better and failing at it is totally normal, but living in a failed state, ruins life.

What failure should do

  1. Failure should propel to be better, do more, break limit, and be who you were ordained to be.
  2. Failure should guide your thought and action.
  3. And, failure should be your excuse to want to succeed

Failure should be your alternative to success!

Because,

We don’t quit when we are tired, we quite when we are done.

Every failure is a step to success!
