5 differences between Chef Hilda and Chef Dami

After Hilda Bacil storms the city of Lagos to begin flag off of her cooking marathon which she eventually did after she cooks for 100hrs non-stop with the aim of breaking the record which was initially set by Indian chef, Lata Tondon who made meals for 87 hours, 45 minutes and 00 seconds. Just a few weeks after Hilda concluded her marathon cooking, a chef by the name of Chef Damilola Adeparusi an undergraduate student kicked off a cookathon in Ekiti state on June 9, 2023, in a bid to surpass the current record.

Top 5 Differences Between Chef Hilda and Chef Dami

1. Prior Announcement

Chef Dami became popular in less than 24 hours after kicking off her cook-a-thon race without a proper announcement to the public making her plans known, unlike Hilda Bacil who actually made a promotional video announcing her plan and the day to kick off her marathon cooking.

2. Cooking for 120 hours

Unlike Hilda Bacil who attempted to break the past record by cooking for 100 hours, Chef Dami aims to break the record for the longest time an individual spends cooking by trying to surpass and cook for 12 hours.

3. Location of the Cookathon

Hilda Bacil’s cooking marathon takes place in the beautiful city of Lagos, Lekki where social media influencers and celebrities hailed her effort and were readily available to support her. Dami on the other hand is attempting to break the record from a remote town on FUOYE-JUPEB road, Oye Ekiti as this is contained in a flyer on the Twitter handle of @SpiritWordGM.

Chef Hilda has a lot of sponsors who supported her dream, she receives sponsorship from popular brands and products on most of the things she used during her cookathon race while, Chef Dami doesn’t have any brand sponsors that supported her cooking marathon.

5. Level of criticism

Well, on the level of criticism, Hilda has low to zero criticism whereas Chef Dami has a ton of them from netizens and influencers who tend to fault her effort and diminish her work.
