Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, 27-year-old chef has broken the current Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual”

Hilda launched into the competition on Thursday at exactly  4pm when she put on her cooker.

She carries on despite having broken the record as she aims to cook for 96 hours, setting a new world record as the first human on earth to spend such an amount of time cooking.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu made a surprise visits at Amore Gardens in Lekki, to celebrate  and show his support to the young talented chef in her quest to break the Guinness world record for cooking.

However, President-elect Bola Tinubu had earlier encouraged Baci as she attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.

On Sunday, Tinubu shows his support for chef Hilda Baci by joining her Instagram live video. Tinubu commented, “IDAN doesn’t break, she breaks records. We’re rooting for you, Hilda.”

Also, Vice Presidents, Yemi Osinbajo calls to encourage Hilda Baci on phone, says Nigerian youths are valuable assets.

Nigerians celebrities has also intensify supports for hilda Baci, Celebrities like Tiwa, Drake, Dremo, Rema, Banky W, Charles Okocha, spyro and other famous Nigerian Celebrities.

Tiwa made an appearance to lend her support to Hilda Baci at the 77-hour of the marathon cooking event.

In light of this, notable celebrities such as Banky W, Adesua Etomi, Charles Okocha,  all stormed the cooking venue in Lagos to show their support and cheer Hilda more on her vision and mission.

And Also, Nigerians actors and actresses  have shown tremendous support for this challenge by flocking to the garden in their millions to cheer her up and sample the world record-breaking chef’s meals.

Challenges Faced By Hilda Baci

Cooking for 96 hours (4 days) is not easy. This comes with a determination, effort, patience and energy.

Basically, Hilda Baci faced alot of challenges, Challenges like:

• Not having enough rest (imagine someone cooking for hours non-stop, Just 1 hour rest in a day)
• Not siting while cooking ( Hilda stands cooking throughout the whole 96 hours)
• working under pressure/heat
