Deji Yesufu Gives His Two Cents About The Views Of Lady Who Blasted Some Nigerian Parents For Brainwashing Their Children Against Nigeria

Popular Nigeria Reformed Baptist Theologian, Deji Yesufu has taken to Facebook to share his views about the viral video of a young Nigerian lady lambasting Nigerian parents for ruining Nigeria.
Using one of the scenarios in the popular comedy series “Jenifa’s Diary” as an example, Deji Yesufu agrees with the young lady. The scene as he said, portrayed the life of a Nigerian parent (a young lady) who made sure her children don’t speak her Nigerian language (Yoruba). According to him, it is a colonial mentality. But unfortunately, it was and is not meant to be so because even some of the white people we try to emulate or impress are usually impressed by our cultures.
Speaking further, he used Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s music style as a good example of “whites” appreciating the African culture. It is true that African Afro music is currently making waves globally, this shows how they appreciate our culture. But, unfortunately, we don’t value our culture. Deji Yesufu also confirmed that Fela adopted the Jazz style of music and made it African (Afrobeat), and see what it has become today.
Deji Yesufu also emphasized that every nation no matter how little has something in one way or the other to contribute to humanity. Therefore, no nation should be looked down upon.
