Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has revealed that his long-running feud with fellow rapper Odumodublvck began after both men discovered they had been romantically involved with the same woman.
Blaqbonez made the disclosure during a recent interview on the Nevon HQ podcast hosted by Rufai Oseni, with clips from the interview circulating widely on August 19, 2026.
Blaqbonez Explains How It Started
According to Blaqbonez, the two rappers met the woman at the same event in 2023 and were both interested in her.
He said he later entered a non-exclusive relationship with her that lasted about a year, describing it as a “friends with benefits” arrangement because they were friends who were also intimate.
“I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official, but like, the best term to describe it would be like friends with benefits, right? Because we kind of like, were friends and we were intimate,” he said.
Blaqbonez said he did not know at the time that the woman was also involved with Odumodublvck.
Odumodublvck Declared Him an Enemy
Blaqbonez said the woman eventually contacted him to end their relationship, prompting him to ask who she was seeing.
He claimed he then discovered that she was in a relationship with Odumodublvck and decided to withdraw rather than interfere.
“You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace,” he recalled telling her.
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck later contacted him and asked whether he had previously been intimate with the woman.
Blaqbonez said he avoided giving a direct answer because he did not want to interfere with their relationship.
“I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have,” he said.
He claimed Odumodublvck subsequently responded: “Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.”
Feud Later Escalated
The disagreement eventually developed into a public rivalry between the two rappers, who had previously collaborated on songs including “Tesla Boy” and “Dollerz.”
Their fallout later involved diss tracks, social media exchanges and more serious accusations.
Odumodublvck accused Blaqbonez of sexual abuse in June 2026 and alleged an industry cover-up. Blaqbonez denied the allegations and described them as harassment linked to a past relationship.
Blaqbonez has also reportedly taken legal action over the dispute, including a ₦2.55 billion defamation suit.
Odumodublvck Yet to Respond
Entertainment platform YabaLeftOnline shared a clip of Blaqbonez’s interview on X on August 19, describing the revelation as the story behind the rappers’ long-running rift.
The disclosure has since generated reactions online, with fans revisiting the history of the disagreement between the two artists.
Blaqbonez’s account remains his version of events. The identity of the woman has not been publicly established, while Odumodublvck had not issued a detailed response to this specific interview as of the latest reports.
