At the 63rd edition of the Grammy Award in 2021, Beyonce made history by breaking the record for most Grammy wins ever by a female artist. The Singer that night added four more Grammys’ to her previous 24 wins, therefore, surpassing Alison Krauss with 27 Grammys to become Grammy’s most awarded female artist of all time.

The 40-year-old singer who is also the second most awarded Grammy Winner of all time, only behind Georg Solti,  won her first award as a member of Destiny’s Child, They won the Best R&B Performance By A Group and the Best R&B Song categories for their No. 1 smash “Say My Name” in 2001.

The following year, the girl group extended their Grammy win by snagging an award for the Best R&B Performance By A Group for their song Survival.

In late 2000,   the group announced their plan to embark on individual side projects, which led Beyonce to release her debut album as a solo artist,  Dangerously in Love, Which gave her 5 Grammy Awards in One Night,  tying the likes of Norah Jones, Lauryn Hill, and Alicia Keys for most Grammys received in one night by a female artist.

Crazy in Love, a collaborative song with Jay Z who was her then-boyfriend earned her two awards, the Best R&B Song and the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 46th Grammy edition.

The album as a whole won an Award in the Best Contemporary R&B Album categories, while Dangerously in Love 2 and The Closer I Get To You won her two awards as the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and the Best R&B Performance By A Group.

At the 48th edition of the Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles in 2006, the Singer form 6 nominations won just a Grammy for the Best R&B Performance By A Group on her collaborative song with Stevie Wonder titled So Amazing.  The following year, the singer won another Grammy in the Best Contemporary R&B Album categories for her second solo album “B-Day”

At the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, Beyoncé received ten nominations, including Album of the Year for I Am… Sasha Fierce, her third Studio album  Record of the Year for “Halo”, and Song of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”, among others. Tying  Lauryn Hill’s record for the most Grammy nominations in a single year by a female artist. She however went on to win six of those nominations, breaking her own record for the most Grammy Awards won in a single night by a female artist with six.

In 2013, the Singer won another grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for her song Love On Top, her only Grammy nomination of that year.  At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2015, Beyoncé was nominated for six awards, ultimately winning three: Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for “Drunk in Love”, and Best Surround Sound Album for Beyoncé.
