My parent asked me for a Grammy – Burna boy.

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy said that his Parent asked him to win a grammy award.

The artist who recently took the delivery of the Grammy Award he won on the 14th of March 2021 said this while announcing the delivery of the prestigious award on his Instagram page.

He said his parent prayed for excellent children,  instead of houses, cars, or material things, stating that his parents asked his sisters for stellar degrees and from him a Grammy.

He further said his while one of his sisters had the first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering, and here is he with a grammy.

My parents prayed for excellent children, not houses, cars or “things”. They asked my sisters for stellar degrees; one got a first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering. They asked me for a Grammy, and here we are. I am a product of sacrifice! Thank God and thank you all again! ❤️

Similarly, the Award-winning Burna Boy and the Nigerian music superstar, Wizkid, have been nominated for Best International Act at the 2021 BET Awards

Recall that the two won the Grammy award for 2021, which shows that the two are performing excellently well in the music industry, both home and international

Burna Boy took home the Best International Act category at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards.

The two Grammy winner are up for Best International Act, along with Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Young T & Bugsey (UK), and Youssoupha (France).
