Jeff Bezos, the popular American business tycoon and billionaire who is founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of one of the world’s largest technological organisations Amazon, has stepped

The billionaire, however, is being replaced by Andy Jassy, the mastermind behind Amazon’s cloud computing division.

Recall that earlier this year, Mr Bezos announced he would be moving into the executive chair role to be able to focus on initiatives such as his plans for private space travel.

While announcing he would be stepping down as chief executive from the company he founded out of a garage, Bezos said he wanted to “focus [his] energies and attention on new products and early initiatives” in his new role of executive chair.
