The Giant audio streaming platform Spotify has revealed that Wizkid is the most-streamed Nigerian artiste on the platform for 2021.

This is coming barely a few hours after Apple Music named the Grammy-winning singer as its ‘African Artiste of the Year’.

A list revealed by Spotify showed on Wednesday showed top artists and songs that got more engagements on the platform for the outgoing year.

The list also examined five different categories which include most-streamed artists, most-streamed female artists and most-streamed tracks in Nigeria for 2021.

Other categories are most-streamed albums and most-streamed playlists in Nigeria for the year reviewed.

Tems emerged as the most-streamed female artiste in Nigeria on the list following an impressive year while ‘Feeling’, a hit song by Ladipoe, was named the most-streamed track.

The deluxe version of Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album was named Nigeria’s most-streamed album on the platform.

In other news Wizkid reveals a new collaboration with Burna Boy, The International Singer announced this during his O2 Arena concert in London on Wednesday.

Wizkid pulled off a three-night show at the North Greenwich venue as part of his ‘Made In Lagos’ tour.

During the concert, he invited top acts like Chris Brown, Burna Boy, and Tems to perform alongside him.

After their joint performance of ‘Ginger’, Wizkid announced to a cheering audience: “Tonight, Burna Boy and I are dropping a new song. We have a new video waiting for you guys. Don’t dull; don’t sleep on the bicycle.”
