George Walker Bush, the former president of the United States, was born on July 6, 1946, to George Herbert Walker and Barbara Bush in New Haven, Connecticut. From 1981 through 1989, when he was elected US President, his father, a prominent politician, served as the 43rd US Vice President for two terms.
