Falz Advises Young People to Wait Until Their 30s Before Getting Married

Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has advised young people not to rush into marriage, saying it is better to settle down in their 30s.

The award-winning entertainer shared his views during an episode of The BTS Reality podcast, where he spoke about maturity, personal development and societal pressure.

‘Don’t Let Anyone Pressure You’

Falz said he does not support marriage before the age of 30 because many people are still discovering themselves during their 20s.

According to him, emotional, financial and mental maturity often come with age and experience.

“Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By your 30s, you have gained more life experiences,” he said.

Focus on Growth in Your 20s

The 35-year-old rapper encouraged young adults to spend their 20s building themselves instead of feeling compelled to meet society’s expectations.

He said the period should be dedicated to learning, self-discovery and enjoying life.

“In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out. Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married,” Falz added.

His comments have generated conversations online, with many agreeing that personal growth should come before marriage, while others argued that the right time to marry depends on individual circumstances rather than age.
