Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, has condemned internet fraud as stealing, telling members involved in “Yahoo” not to give offerings from proceeds of the crime to his church.
Ibiyeomie made the remarks in a video circulating on social media on Monday, September 7, 2026, where he addressed a congregation during a church service in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Ibiyeomie Condemns Yahoo
Speaking from the pulpit, the pastor said internet fraud amounted to stealing and urged anyone involved in it within his congregation to stop giving such proceeds as offerings.
“Yahoo is stealing. If you’re in this church and you’re doing Yahoo, please don’t give your offering here, go to another place,” Ibiyeomie said.
The remarks have attracted reactions on social media, with some users supporting his position against internet fraud while others responded critically or humorously to the statement.
Pastor’s Previous Position on Internet Fraud
Ibiyeomie has previously spoken against “Yahoo Yahoo” and other forms of internet fraud, describing them as theft and warning against celebrating wealth obtained through fraudulent means.
During earlier sermons, he similarly told fraudsters in his congregation that the church did not need money obtained through crime and urged those involved to abandon the practice, seek legitimate means of livelihood and repent.
He has also argued that teachings on prosperity should not be interpreted as justification for criminal activities and has criticised people who assist or enable internet fraud.

The latest video, which carries church-related branding and references to Isaac Ibiyeomie, shows the pastor addressing a large congregation while dressed in formal attire.
The clip shared by Instablog9ja on September 7 has generated engagement and discussion on X and other social media platforms.
However, there was no independent confirmation that the circulating clip was recorded during a new sermon on September 7, 2026. The remarks closely resemble statements Ibiyeomie has made publicly about internet fraud in previous years.
