  • Tunde Perry Says Wife Gives Him One ‘Free Day’ Every Month in Marriage

Nigerian media personality and content creator Tunde Perry has revealed that his wife allows him one “free day” every month, saying the arrangement has helped strengthen their marriage over the past 10 years.

Perry made the disclosure during a recent TikTok Live session, where he spoke about the unique understanding he shares with his wife.

    How the arrangement works

According to Perry, he chooses the date at the beginning of every month, and on that day, his wife neither calls him nor checks on his whereabouts.

“My wife gives me one free day in a month to go out and chill. We’ve been married for about 10 years, so we understand ourselves. I choose the date from the beginning of the month,” he said.

He added that once he returns home, his wife jokingly collects his phones and assigns him extra household chores.

‘It’s better than having two wives’

Perry said the arrangement has strengthened their relationship and discouraged any thoughts of polygamy.

“You must have that kind of understanding so you can enjoy your relationship. It’s not good to have two or three wives,” he said.

When asked what would happen if one of his outings resulted in another relationship, Perry laughed off the suggestion, saying it would only cost him his next “free day.”

    Social media reacts

The comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some users praising the couple’s level of trust and understanding, while others questioned whether such an arrangement could encourage infidelity.

Others argued that the agreement reflects the couple’s personal choice and should not be used as a standard for other marriages.

  • Baba Elesho Says Wife Leads His Home, Shares Emotional Story About His Mother

Veteran Nollywood actor Adewale Elesho Adeoye, popularly known as Baba Elesho, has opened up about his family life, revealing that he considers his wife the head of his household.

The actor made the remark during an interview on the African A-List show, where he spoke about marriage, family responsibilities, and the importance of mutual respect between spouses.

Why He Consulted His Wife First

Baba Elesho recounted how his elderly mother, who had been living with one of his younger siblings while battling a long-term eye condition, expressed deep unhappiness with her living situation.

According to him, during a visit, his mother told him she would rather be thrown into the sea than continue living where she was because she felt uncomfortable.

The actor said he immediately decided to bring her to Lagos but chose to speak with his wife before bringing his mother into the house.

“My Wife Is the Head of My Family”

Narrating the experience, Baba Elesho explained that he left his mother in the car while he went upstairs to discuss the situation with his wife.

“The day I brought her, I left her in the car and went upstairs to meet my wife. I prostrated and told her I had a visitor. She asked who it was, and I said Alhaja. I explained everything to her and why I brought my mother,” he said.

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted to a newly circulated video allegedly showing some of the teachers and pupils abducted in Oyo State, calling on authorities to act swiftly to secure their freedom.

The video reportedly featured one of the victims, Mrs. Alamu, a school principal, who appealed from captivity and disputed claims that the abductors were demanding money, weapons or the implementation of Sharia law.

    VeryDarkMan Calls for Urgent Action

Reacting to the footage, VeryDarkMan said the safety and return of the abducted children and teachers should be the government’s immediate priority.

He argued that any genuine and verifiable demand capable of securing their release should be considered without unnecessary delays.

“Everything is very clear and I think their demand is very, very realistic. I don’t think the government should wait any second,” he said.

Focus Should Be on Victims, He Says

The activist maintained that prolonged debates over the demands would not help the victims, many of whom have reportedly spent more than two weeks in captivity.

“There should be any debate whether they talk one billion or not. It’s clear since they are the ones that recorded her,” he stated.

“I personally think that is a very, very good trade because these are just children that have been inside the bush for more than two weeks.”

    Appeal for Immediate Resolution

VeryDarkMan added that authorities should prioritise the safe return of the victims rather than attempting to outsmart the abductors during negotiations.

“I don’t think there is any reason to play smart if this is what they want. Please give them what they want and let the kids come back home,” he said.

    Concerns Continue Over Abducted Pupils

The latest video has intensified public concern over the fate of the abducted teachers and pupils, with many Nigerians demanding urgent intervention from security agencies and government officials.
