Popular Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has claimed that fellow creators Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, were pressured into getting married and may regret the decision, prompting a strong response from Peller.
Carter Efe made the comments in a video circulating on social media on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, weeks after Peller and Jarvis held their high-profile wedding celebrations.
Carter Efe Predicts Marriage Regret
Speaking during an interview or podcast-style appearance, Carter Efe said he would not date another celebrity because of the pressures that come with public relationships.
“I can’t date a celebrity. I wasn’t invited to Peller and Jarvis’ wedding. They were pressured into getting married, and they’ll regret it in four years’ time, when they realise that the internet doesn’t really care about them,” he said.
The comments have renewed attention on the relationship between Carter Efe and Peller, who have had several public disagreements and exchanges within Nigeria’s growing streaming and content creation scene.
History of Tension Between Creators
Carter Efe had previously questioned the authenticity of Peller and Jarvis’ wedding shortly after their white wedding, suggesting that the ceremony was primarily driven by content creation.
Peller had indicated that Carter Efe was not invited to the wedding, adding to the tension between the two creators.
Peller and Jarvis completed their traditional marriage rites in Benin City in June before holding their civil wedding in Lagos on July 29 and their white wedding on August 1, 2026.
Peller Hits Back
Peller has now responded to Carter Efe’s latest comments, accusing him of being manipulative and overly focused on competition.
According to Peller, Carter Efe had privately advised him several times to distance himself from Jarvis while also discouraging him from pursuing opportunities that Carter later sought himself.
Peller also accused him of using people and relationships to generate views and trends.
“I respect you, but I would have ended your career a long time ago,” Peller said, adding that Carter Efe “likes competition too much” and warning that the attitude could eventually harm him.
He also referred to personal issues involving Carter Efe while explaining why he had previously chosen not to respond publicly to some of their disagreements.
Marriage Controversy Continues Online
The latest exchange has divided online reactions, with some social media users agreeing that public attention and pressure can influence decisions among celebrity couples.
Others criticised Carter Efe for predicting the end of another person’s marriage and questioning a relationship he is not directly involved in.
Peller and Jarvis have continued to present their marriage publicly as genuine, including through honeymoon-related content, while the latest dispute between Peller and Carter Efe remains unresolved.
