Former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has reportedly emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta North senatorial primary election after defeating Senator Ned Nwoko by a wide margin.
Results circulating online showed Okowa polling 113,309 votes in the primary election, while Ned Nwoko secured 2,612 votes. Another aspirant, Maryam Alli, reportedly received 40 votes.
Okowa Records Wide Victory
According to figures shared online by political commentator Ossai Ovie Success, the former governor dominated the exercise across the Delta North Senatorial District.
The reported breakdown of the results showed:
Sen. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa – 113,309 votes
Sen. Ned Nwoko – 2,612 votes
Maryam Alli – 40 votes

Following the outcome of the exercise, Senator Ned Nwoko released a statement appreciating supporters across Delta North for what he described as massive participation and loyalty during the primary process.
The senator said the turnout reflected strong political engagement and demonstrated the level of trust many constituents still have in his leadership and vision for the district.
According to him, although he was awaiting the official declaration from the party’s national committee, reports from wards and local government areas already showed significant support from party members.
Nwoko further stated that he does not take the support for granted, adding that it would continue to motivate his commitment to public service and representation.
