The 2022 Grammy Awards, which was rescheduled, is set to hold on the 3rd of April 2022, in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Recall that the 64th edition of the Award show was postponed from its initial date, January 31 because of the rising case of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on January 31st simply contains too many risks. We look forward to celebrating Music’s Biggest Night on a future date, which will be announced soon,” The Organizers stated in a statement that was posted on thier website.
CBS and the Recording Academy confirmed the new date and South African Comedian Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” will return as the host.
Sharing the announcement on their website, the organizers stated they are excited to host the grammy in Las Vegas for the very first time, and also sent their appreciation to the Music community for their unwavering support.

From the moment we announced the postponement of the original show date, we have been inundated with heartfelt messages of support and solidarity from the artist community. We appreciate the leadership CBS and our production partners at Fulwell 73 have shown during these challenging weeks and the flexibility of everyone who worked toward this solution.
Recall that the Nigerian Singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, bagged two Grammy nominations alongside Burna Boy and Femi Kuti.
Wizkid’s Essence featuring Tems was nominated in the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category, and “The Made In Lagos” album was nominated in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category. The same category Burna Boy won 2021.
Burna Boy was nominated alongside Angelique Kidjo for the track “Do Yourself”, and in the major category for his contribution to Justin Bieber Justice Album.
Femi Kuti was also nominated for the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ for his song ‘Pa Pa Pa’ and he was nominated again alongside Made Kuti in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ for their album ‘Legacy +’
