People’s behavior at times is not predictable, people will do almost anything for the fun of it or for fame and likes, it doesn’t matter how dumb what they put out there is, they are just in for the fame which doesn’t last and the internet have made it easy this day to make a fool out of yourself doing things that you aren’t supposed to do in the first place or even put out to the world to see, this will bring us to the worst internet challenges ever attempted.

Meanwhile, some of the internet challenges are not so bad, some are meant to help others get funding or help but are pretty dangerous and young people significantly have fallen prey to them, we definitely can’t tell you what the next viral dare and challenge will be but we can tell you the top 10 worse internet challenges in order of extremity and magnitude of the effect.

Additionally, although, kids, teens, and young adults have become the sensations and targets of these internet challenges, it is good to note that many adults may have also tried out a few of these challenges, maybe not too extreme like the dares the young people to participate in, but they have had a taste of them also and some of this internet challenges have either resulted in the death of those that have participated in them or disfigurement, or getting a jail time.

The fire challenge involves you pouring a flammable liquid on your skin, which can be on your body or hand, and then setting it on fire afterward. Well, it was supposed to be put out, but most people tend to run as the first instruction interpreted by their brain which then will aid the spread of the fire to other areas of the body.

The first known fire challenge video was uploaded on the internet in 2012, but the challenge gained mainstream media attention in 2014. Fire challenge has landed many people in hospital and some other for contributing to the act by either filming or just watching, especially in the case of minors. Additionally, the thing is there’s no reward whatsoever, so it makes it feel dumber to participate in this challenge.

2. Tide Pod Challenge

The Tide pod challenge definitely deserves a place on this list as one of the worst internet challenges ever and for some reason some people decided to participate in this challenge with the effect it poses which can result in death as the worse case maybe. The challenge involves anyone participating to consume Tide Pod, it started trending in 2018 way up to 2020 people still participate in Dare which involves you ingesting the substance. How dangerous is Tide Pod, it gives you the cleaning power you need with three compartments containing ingredients that bring a unique cleaning power to your wash according to the company that makes them, so what it means is people during this challenge consume what can literally wipe your inside clean and stay in there it dissolves.

3. Bleach Drinking Challenge

Bleach drinking challenge is one of the most devastating challenges in history with about 12 million people drinking acidic liquid. Furthermore, bleach is poisonous, and it is also corrosive enough to damage metal, now come to think of the effect of consuming such liquid in your body, it could also burn sensitive tissues in your body. Additionally, bleach is commonly used to whiten clothes or other fabrics. The Bleach Challenge is os one of the worse internet challenges ever some lives were also lost and some people developed illnesses that they have to tend to for the rest of their lives.

This is definitely one of the most horrible challenges in the year 2018 when it was an internet sensation and everyone that participated in it thought they are having fun. Unlike the other challenges that have already been listed on this list, Blue Whale Challenge is quite different, just like the movie Nerve came to life, there’s always someone who gives a list of terrible challenges out, approximately 50 in number, one for each day, you get to move on after concluding a particular challenge, most of them are life-threatening challenges to the participant and to other. The challenge was allegedly the brainchild of Philipp Budeikin who was later arrested and tried on two counts.

Additionally, the effect of this can be damage to the brain once the brain doesn’t get enough oxygen or death as it can be. The TikTok challenges have caused a lot of damage to young people with some of the people who participated in it dying from it in 2022.

It is frustrating enough to stay in a toilet or eat or drink no matter how clean the toilet looks like but what is more gross is licking a toilet, the truth is no matter how clean it is it’s gross! The covid-19 toilet-licking challenge started after Tiktok content creator Ava Louise licked a toilet seat on a flight to Miami and many others influencers and people trooped in participating in the challenges. Aside, from getting Covid-19, or contracting other infections or diseases which most of them got, it’s senseless enough to joke about what eventually wiped out millions of lives across the globe.

You have definitely been hearing of challenges or have even participated in one before, whether harmful or not, Kylie Jenner Challenge is one of the worst internet challenges ever. What is amazing is people actually did participate in this challenge that only gives about a minute of fame that may leave a permanent result on those that participated in it. The challenge which started in 2015 on the internet is done by using suction to force blood into your lips, causing them to swell, this was all done to mimic Kylie Jenner’s pout. Meanwhile, the challenge may look extreme but the resulting effect on those who did may range from severe bruising, swelling, discoloration, and long-term nerve damage to a lifetime of consequences.

8. The Condom-snorting Challenge

Although this list is about the worst internet challenges even so, this looks a bit weirder and not cool for anyone who had participated in this, the challenges which require you to snort an extended condom through your nose with the idea that it will come out of the back of the nasal cavity, where it can then be pulled out of the mouth. Well, the damage this poses is that, since the condom is a long stretchy material it can easily hang past your nasal cavity into your lungs which will result in the snorter having to endure surgery and suffering through months of healing up.

Boiling water or hot water challenges involve either throwing boiling hot water on someone or having someone drink boiling hot water as a dare, which was most prevalent among kids and teens. According to reports, there are several cases of severe burns and at least one death.

10. Salt and Ice Challenge

The salt and ice challenge is an internet challenge where participants pour salt and ice together and then put it on their body, usually the hand or harm which will then require them to leave it till they can not endure the pain again. Well, putting ice on the body isn’t the problem here alone but the combination of both the ice and salt will create a 3rd-degree burn which many of the participants sustained.

Parents and guardians should be aware of the danger of the internet, especially the danger it poses to kids and teens who in the spirit of their youth are eager always to test out or try out new things.
