Tope Oshin was born in Lagos on 10 June 1979. After her primary and secondary education, she proceeded to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State to study economics. She left the course to study Public Administration and then Theatre Arts, TV, and Film Production at Lagos State University.

As a child, Tope Oshin engaged in drawing, singing, and dancing. Also while growing up, she had her aspirations to be a painter painting.

After studying at Lagos State University, she became more interested in filmmaking and went ahead to study film Production and Cinematography in London.

Career

Tope Oshin with a net worth of $1 million began her career featuring in movies at the age of 12. However, her first feature movie is in 2010 on a movie titled Relentless.

She, later on, veered into directing as an assistant director for Apprentice Africa. As an assistant director, she co-directed so many movies before she became the director. Though she has directed several short films, she is known for her best highly successful movies Up North and New Money.

Moreover, as a producer, she has produced several movies including the 2015 romantic film titled Fifty and The Wedding Party 2. As of 2018, The Wedding Party 2 is among the highest-grossing Nigerian film.

In memory of Amaka Igwe who died in 2014, she produced and directed a documentary titled Amaka’s Kin in 2016.

Also as a casting director, Tope Oshin has a thriving career which she handles very well.
