In this day and age, anyone can be successful without even getting a proper education. Some of the successful people don’t even have college degrees, especially in the entertainment industry. Many of the celebrities adored by people have attained their present status because of the wealth their families had earned.

It is interesting to note that many famous people have graduated in one specialty, but they are pursuing a career in a completely different field. Engineers become actors, and sometimes actors are willing to achieve an engineer’s goals, while others become successful businessmen or choose a completely different specialty. Read on to find out about some of the people who work in show business but went to college and got engineering degrees.

Mexican businessman Carlos is a self-made billionaire who earned a degree in civil engineering. His humble attributes would not immediately reveal his wealth, but everyone knows that he is among the richest people in the world. He graduated from UNAM and worked tirelessly to achieve his goals. His multi-industry empire has put him on the Forbes list of the richest people, alongside Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.

People know Teri from the famous TV series The Desperate Housewives and also from a few movies. Teri is a very successful and famous actress, but she is also an engineer. She was likely inspired by her father, a computer programmer and nuclear physicist. De Anza College is proud to have such a celebrity on its alumni roster, but fans should be more proud to have such a talented actress.

Chris is another example of a civil engineer who went on to pursue a different career. After graduating from Newcastle University, he tried playing in the UK, Australia and the United States. After appearing in Prison Break , he has worked on Rizzoli & Islands and many other television shows. In an interview, Chris said that he realized he wasn’t satisfied with civil engineering and that being an actor was the right thing to do.

There would not be a person who is not familiar with the accomplishments of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon in 1969. Armstrong wanted nothing more than to be an astronaut. Graduating from Purdue University has helped him fly as far as possible. This celebrity has never been seen in Hollywood movies, but Hollywood makes movies inspired by Neil Armstrong and his famous moon landing.

Bill is the man who made science more accessible to people, using mainstream media with the show Bill Nye – The Science Man, as an educational program in 1993. He graduated from Cornell University and developed sundials for Mars Exploration Rover Missions. He was also second executive director of the Planetary Society.

The Indian space hero will always be remembered for her determination and persistence in engineering. Her work is an inspiration to women who want to become astronauts. Kalpana’s engineering education began at the Punjab Engineering College in India. She then earned a master’s degree in Texas and a PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado. Chawla was the first Indian woman to travel in space, but she lost her life on her second space voyage in 2003.

His motivation to study this particular field of technology would not allow him to be an actor. Ashton was aware of his brother’s heart problems and he decided to seek a cure for it. But not everything went according to plan. There are many reasons to believe that he was the king of parties and drunk at the University of Iowa. After realizing that he could be a model, he graduated and became a highly paid actor in Hollywood.
