Tinubu Appoints Special Advisers

President Tinubu approved the appointment of his Special Advisers on Thursday in the state house in Abuja. The appointment came after 16 days he was inaugurated as the new president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The various individuals that were appointed will be entrusted with the responsibility of supporting role in the executive arm of the Government of Nigeria, with the duty to assist the President of Nigeria in the performance of his functions as well as provide opinions and render advice to the president.

Among the new appointees are

  • Mr. Dele Alake – Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.
  • Mr. Yau Darazo – Special Adviser, Political and Intergovernmental Affairs.
  • Mr. Wale Edun – Special Adviser, Monetary Policies.
  • Mrs. Olu Verheijen – Special Adviser, Energy.

Others on the list of approved special advisers that were presented to the president to sign include;

  • Mr. Zachaeus Adedeji – Special Adviser Revenue.
  • Mr. Nuhu Ribadu – Special Adviser, Security.
  • Mr. John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu – Special Adviser, Industry, Trade and Investment.
  • Dr (Mrs.) Salma Ibrahim Anas – Special Adviser, Health.
