According to Legit.ng Sola Sobowale was born on 26th December 1965 in in Ondo State, south-western Nigeria. She was born to Joseph and Esther Olagookun. Both her parents worked as teachers. Joseph was a retired principal while her mother, Esther Olagookun, a former headmistress.
However, Sola Sobowale attended both her primary and secondary school in Ondo State after which she proceeded to University of Ibadan.
At the University of Ibadan she pursued Music. Compelled by her love and passion for acting, she switched to study theatre arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts.
