Senator Ishaku Abbo of Adamawa State has vehemently denied allegations of being involved in a viral sex video that has sparked controversy nationwide.
“How can you identify a person without seeing his face, his body, only parts of his legs, and you said it is Senator Abbo?” the senator questioned during a press conference on Thursday evening.
However, a second video surfaced on social media, in which the woman claimed to be the person in the leaked sex tape and accused Senator Abbo of threatening her life.
Senator Abbo attributed the scandal to political opponents, describing it as “timid blackmail” aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
He expressed confidence that the scandal would not affect his political career, stating,
“Blackmail cannot stop me from winning elections. My people love me. No amount of blackmail can stop me.”
The senator announced his intention to pursue legal action against those responsible for circulating the video.
He warned, “Tarnishing my image will not help the political interest of those sponsoring this blackmail.”
