Alex Ovechkin, with an estimated net worth of $80 Million, takes third place among the richest hockey players in the world. He began his professional career with Dynamo Moscow of the Russian Superleague in 2001, before joining the Washington  Capitals in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
