This came following the death of American DJ Stephen “Twitch” Boss, who died by suicide at the age of 40. On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at a motel in the Encino neighbourhood of Los Angeles, Stephen—the official DJ on Ellen DeGeneres Show—was reported to have committed suicide.
On his part, Broda Shaggi urged Nigerians not to let the suffering, adversity, and darkness they are currently experiencing prevent them from enjoying the greatest parts of life by taking their own lives. He continued by saying that life is not always perfect and that there are other things to do besides posting on social media, going out clubbing, partying, and making friends. He continued by saying that in order to get the most out of himself, he always reflects on where he started and where he is right now.
“Don’t let your pain, the hardship you face, the darkness you find yourself in make your miss the best part of your life to come. It’s crazy how we all see life differently and I wish most people won’t allow SM ruin their happiness. For me, I reflect on my past and present. Where I was years back and where I am right now. It ain’t perfect yet cos nothing is ever perfect but I’m working towards getting the best for me. Life is more than living for social media. For me, its more than clubbing, partying, friendship, trying to update my success on SM and so on. Life is beautiful and I want to live every bit of it happy with myself and making others happy. Always know that the best of You is yet to come and you must see it. Suicide ain’t never the option,” he wrote.
