Early Life And Education

Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on March 2, 1942, in Ifewara, a village in Osun State, South-Western part of Nigeria. He was born into a very poor and humble family. Coming from a poor family was the first challenge at the initial glance that was capable of confining him to a life of lack.

Brilliant, calm and reticent, his early teachers had little doubt that the lad had a scholarly aura and was cut for academia. The bruising truth was that Enoch’s tall ambition to pursue a career in academia was irreconcilable with the abject poverty of his family. Not to be deterred, his parents sold a few cherished possessions and borrowed from kind neighbors just to ensure that their son’s dream was not held back.

In 1956, he was admitted to Ilesha Grammar School in Osun State, one of Nigeria’s premier secondary schools. As a child, he discovered a love of books as well as a talent for science, particularly mathematics. This prompted him to further his education in the same field. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Ife in 1967, a Masters of Science in Hydrodynamics from the University of Lagos in 1969, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 1975. He hoped to become Africa’s youngest university president.

Coming from a poor background, Pastor Adeboye net worth will later increase in years, position in global view.

The Call

Adeboye call and net worth

He was able to realize his academic dream and his career flourished. However, little did he know that a greater career awaited him in the service of the LORD. Adeboye married at the early wake of 1967, to his beloved wife, Foluke Adenike Adeboye.

In an experience that could be described as his wake up call, his only daughter became ill in 1973, and proved unresponsive to orthodox medicine.

He and his wife had been invited by a cousin to an RCCG parish to seek divine healing for their daughter. What the mathematics professor and his adorable wife couldn’t have known as they stepped out of their house that day was that they were about to enter God’s ultimate plan for their lives.
Enoch Adeboye made a personal commitment to Christ on July 29, 1973, thanks to the ministry of Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, the founder and first general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. Reverend Akindayomi was uneducated, but he was endowed with the supernatural ability to read the Holy Bible in his native language.
