There have been growing outrage as Nigerians called out Binance, the leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange provider, Binance, to stop scamming them.
In a growing trend on Twitter, embittered Nigerians expressed their grieve on how Binance unjustly logged them out of their accounts. According to a Twitterati identified as Cynthia Chidera, a Nigerian trader who had his entire assets on Binance nearly committed suicide because of this.
Another netizen identified as Charles lamented that: “since the last year 2021, Binance disabled my account with over $35,000. I’ve been communicating with them & they gave me an email to chat that doesn’t respond to emails for no tangible reason, my account got disabled.”
In a statement, the Changpeng Zhao led company said that through its academy, it was offering ongoing free crypto education classes in Africa, where crypto interest and adoption continued to increase.
It added that it was at the forefront of blockchain education, equipping crypto beginners with resources for lifelong financial and career development.
Binance said, “Since its inception in January 2020, the Binance Masterclass has provided free crypto education to over 400,000 Africans.
“Due to many crypto beginners often being victims of crypto scams from bad actors, the free webinars were primarily targeted at helping users understand the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies, how to identify scams and keep their crypto safe as they get started on their crypto journey.
“As the global pandemic surfaced and many individuals lost jobs, lost income and were forced to stay home, the classes also focused on teaching new skills such as crypto trading and careers in blockchain development.”
However, it seems Nigeria are not having it with the exchange as the #BinanceStopScamming is already trending on Twitter with many embittered Nigeria piling up their anger against the crypto exchange platform.

This was for my first account. How would you block my account with $65k portfolio without me doing nothing and you tagged it as risk control. I reached out and you said I should contact fbi. Isn’t that insane #binancestopscamming #binancestopscamming #binancestopscamming pic.twitter.com/O1hnAtJww9
