Mike owns Globacom telecom which happens to be the second largest Telecom Operator and also has a presence in Ghana and Benin, He also owns a stake in the Equitorial Trust Bank and the oil Exploration Firm Conoil.
The Nigerian Businessman was born on the 29th of April 1953 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria and is currently one of the richest men in Yoruba land.
Adenuga’s father, Oloye Michael Agbolade Adenuga Sr, was a school teacher while his mother Omooba Juliana Oyindamola Adenuga was a well-known businesswoman of the Royal Ijebu descent.
He graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Pace University, New York where he Bagged a Degree in Business Administration. Mike Adenuga attended Ibadan Grammer School during his Secondary school in Ibadan, Oyo State and also attend Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro for his Higher School Certificate (HSC).
Career
Mike at the Early age of 26, first made his millions by selling lace and distributing soft drinks, and in 1990 he received his Drilling License. In 1991, his company was the first indigenous Oil Company to Consolidate Oil Struck in the shallow waters of Southwestern Ondo State, and the first Company to do so in commercial quantity.
In 1999, Michael Adenuga was issued a Conditional GSM License and it was abandoned, In 2003 when the government held another auction, he received the second one and was then named African Entrepreneur of the year at the first Telecoms Award (ATA) in August 2007.
Adenuga made a takeover bid to purchase Ivorian Telecom’s operator “Comium Cote d’Ivoire” for $600 Million in May 2015.
He built his wealth through Oil and Telecoms. His mobile phone network, Globacom is the third largest operator in Nigeria, boasting of more than a 55million subscribers. He also operates 6 oil blocks in the Niger Delta.

Adenuga was given a chief title as the Otunba Apesin of the Ijebu Clan, and he was also made the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger by the Nigerian Government.
In 2018, he was decorated by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron with the insignia of a Commander of the Legion of Honour.
