Matthew Staton Bomer was born in Webster Groves, Missouri on the 11th of October, 1977. His father is John O’Neill Bomer IV (a Dallas Cowoboys draft pick who played for the team from 1972 to 1974), and his mother, Elizabeth Macy.
Matt Bomer is a distant cousin to American singer, Justin Timberlake. And his family is of English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Swiss-German and French descent.
He was raised in Spring, Texas, and attended Klein High School. In high school, Matt Bomer taking after his father, played wide receiver and defensive back for his school’s football team before he decided to shift his focus to acting.
At 17, he made his professional stage debut in A Streetcar Named Desire, playing Young Collector. In 1998, he also appeared in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah.
