In this article, however, RNN will highlight the full list of countries that have hosted the FIFA World Cup so far. Some countries have hosted the tournament more than once. On countless occasions, the host countries of the FIFA World Cup have lost the cup and even stayed below third place in the tournament.

From the list above, the countries that have hosted the World Cup the most are Italy, Brazil, France, Germany, and Mexico. These countries have succeeded in hosting the FIFA World Cup two times each. The newest country on the list is Qatar, the Arabian country is currently hosting the 2022 World Cup tournament which is scheduled to end on the 18th of December.
