France President, Emmanuel Macron on his one end stated that France will respond without weakness to Russia’s act of war against Ukraine. He further added that Russia could expect tough sanctions that would hit its military, its economy and its energy sector.
Germany
Germany in support of Ukraine reversed a historic policy of never sending weapons to conflict zones, saying the Russian invasion of Ukraine was an epochal moment that imperilled the entire post-World War II order across Europe.
The German government plans to send 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger anti-aircraft defence systems to Ukraine. The government also authorized the Netherlands to send Ukraine 400 rocket-propelled grenade launchers and told Estonia it ship over send nine howitzers.
Iceland
The Government of Iceland strongly condemned Russia’s attacks on Ukraine and expresses deep concern for the destruction and suffering that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will inevitably cause.

The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi during a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that “Italy fully supports the European Union’s line on sanctions against Russia, including those regarding SWIFT, and shall continue to do so.”
Japan
Japan joined one of the countries supporting Ukraine by planning to impose a series of sanctions targeting Russian financial institutions, military organizations and individuals in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
The Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida who made the revelation last Friday noted that the range of measures includes freezing the assets of certain Russian individuals and financial institutions while also banning exports to Russian military organizations.
Luxembourg
Luxembourg also shows support for Ukraine by closing its airspace to every Russian plane hours before the European Union announced a no-fly zone for Russian aircraft throughout the EU.
The Citizens of Luxembourg also gathered for a show of support for Ukraine at the place Clairefontaine last Saturday. A handful of protesters went to the Russian embassy in Dommeldange to make their voices heard the following day.
Netherlands
The Netherlands condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and also supported every Measure taken by the European Union to sanction Russia For its invasion of Ukraine.

The Government of Norway condemned Russia’s military attack on Ukraine, noting that the attack is a serious violation of international law and will have dramatic consequences for the people of Ukraine.
Expressing its strong solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the Norwegian government provided NOK 250 million in humanitarian support and also military equipment such as helmets and bulletproof vests to the Ukrainian population.
Portugal
The Prime Minister of Portugal Antonio Costa condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, noting that the country would be sending reinforcements to join Ukrainian soldiers on the ground to help secure their borders as this “is a war against the freedom of self-determination of a democratic country and therefore it is also a war against the freedom of self-determination and against democracy.”
The country also stated that refugees and Ukrainians who have family, friends, and acquaintances in Portugal are welcome to Portugal. The Portuguese Embassy in Ukraine is also urging Portuguese citizens in Ukraine to leave through European Union borders, particularly in route to Romania or Moldova.
Singapore
The Singaporean government supporting Ukraine stated that it would impose “appropriate sanctions and restrictions,” including financial measures and export controls on items that could be used as weapons against the people of Ukraine.
“Singapore intends to act in concert with many other like-minded countries to impose appropriate sanctions and restrictions against Russia,” Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan told parliament.
South Korea
The Korean government condemned Russia’s armed invasion of Ukraine and, is also actively participating in the international community’s efforts, including economic sanctions, for a peaceful resolution of the situation.
The country plans to ban exports of strategic items, join other countries in blocking some Russian banks from the SWIFT international payments system, and boost aid to Ukraine
United States
The United States and Ukraine have been partners since Ukraine declared its independence from the Soviet Union more than 30 years ago. Prior to Russia’s recent invasion, the United States has provided over $ 1 billion in military assistance to Ukraine.
