Khaby Lame is the second most followed person on Tiktok. A viral furore that never talks but is worth over $2million. Khaby Lame is popular for his quiet ways of attacking real-life situations of people.
He was born in Senegal on 9 March 2000. Khaby Lame’s family moved to a public housing complex in Chivasso, Italy, when he was one year old. However, before the pandemic, Khaby Lame worked at a factory but joined Tiktok after he was laid off.
At first, Khaby Lame was just posting videos of himself, playing around with things, watching video games or doing comedy stunts in his bedroom but in the long run, a career was born.
Khaby Lame rose to fame with his video responses in the form of TikTok’s “duet” and “stitch” features to videos depicting overly complicated “life hacks”, in which he performs the same task, but simple, without saying anything.
Within a few periods in 2021, he surpassed Gianluca Vacchi as the most-followed Italian TikToker, and, in July 2021, he surpassed Addison Rae to become the second most-followed TikToker.
Mind you, Lame is pronounced as Lah-May. When interviewed by CNN, Lame said “I came up with the idea because I was seeing these videos circulating, and I liked the idea of bringing some simplicity to it,” Lame told CNN in a recent video interview.
What differentiate Khaby Lame from the most popular TikTokers was the fact that his traffic from the threshold was totally organic. His simple ways of responding to utterly complicated situations by people while not talking gave him a step further within a few periods of time.
His exasperation is relatable, and feelings are universal.” Khaby Lame has credited his own rise to fame to his humorous facial expressions and his silence, which he has described as “a way to reach as many people as possible”.
However, Khaby Lame is estimated to be worth between $2 million and $2.7 million.
