Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch Adegoke, now 42 years old, was born in Wimbledon, London, the United Kingdom, on January 2, 1980. She is the Nigerian-born daughter of Femi Adegboke and Feyi Adegoke.

Her mother is a physiology professor and her father was a general practitioner. She has a brother named Fola and a sister named Lola as siblings. Growing up, Badenoch spent time in Lagos, Nigeria, and the United States (where her mother taught).
