History has it that President James Carter remains the oldest living president has at the time of writing this article. President James Carter known for his humanitarian qualities has lived to break the record of the oldest living Presidents in America.

EARLY LIFE

James Carter was born in 1924 at the Wise Sanitarium where the mother is a registered nurse, the humanitarian politician had his child-hood in Plains, Georgia. The former president graduated from U.S Naval school and proceeded to grow the family’s pea-nut business. His passion against racial differences led him to active participation in activism. James Carter  grew to become American politician and humanitarian who served as the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. James Carter is married to Roselyn, who is 95 years as at the time of compiling this article. The old-age couple got wedded July 7, 1946 and are blessed with four(4) kids: Amy, Jack, James and  Donnel with notable six(6) grand children.

A report by usatoday.com reveals that the former president James carter has decided to stay at home and receive hospice care. The report reads, “after a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention. He has the full support of his family and his medical team,” the statement read.

At 98, he’s lived longer than any other former commander-in-chief. And his 42 years after leaving the White House means he has spent more time as an ex-president than anyone else.
