Grace Bonney born 9 June 1981 is an American author, blogger, and entrepreneur, who is best known for her blog Design Sponge which was founded in 2004.

She attended the University of Virginia, where she studied English and Art History. After graduating, she moved to New York City to begin work in the fashion industry. which  She eventually left the fashion world to pursue her passion for design and writing. In 2004, Bonney launched Design*Sponge, a blog dedicated to showcasing the work of independent designers and makers.

In 2012, Bonney released her first book, Design*Sponge at Home, which was a New York Times bestseller. In 2016, she released her second book, In the Company of Women, which features interviews with over 100 inspiring female entrepreneurs. In 2017, Bonney founded Daydream, an online marketplace that connects independent makers and designers with customers. Bonney currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

In 2018, Bonney began publishing the print magazine Good Company: Where Creativity Meets Business. The magazine was inspired by Bonney’s book, In the Company of Women. It was created to provide “motivation, inspiration, practical advice, and a vital sense of connection and community for women and non-binary creatives at every stage of life. Intended to be bi-annual, the magazine ultimately ran for three issues.
