Veteran American Singer Dolly Parton, recently addressed the long-standing rumour, of her breasts being insured noting that they were false.
Veteran American country Singer, Dolly Parton, is popular for her philanthropy, her frank opposition to racism and sexism and also her 40DD breasts.
Dolly Parton’s 40DDs breasts have always stood out on her tiny frame, giving her a unique and curvy silhouette. She also frequently made jokes about her breasts a part of her persona, affectionately calling them the “girls.”
Parton who spent her entire life in the spotlight has always been honest about her plastic surgery habits, despite the public scrutiny that comes with it. She famously said: “If I see something saggin’, baggin’, or draggin’, I’m gonna have it nipped, tucked, or sucked!”
She also once revealed that the silicone implants that she received to keep her looking so curvy have caused her severe back problems. She said: “My boobs have been a trademark for me — but I’ve paid one hell of a price.”
There were unconfirmed reports then that the singer insured her breasts for $600,000 ($300,000 each). Some other reports stated that she insured them for £3.8m
In the recent episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, Dolly Parton addresses the long-standing rumour, noting that they were false.
The hosts, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager referenced model Heidi Klum sharing that her legs are insured and asked if the same held true for Parton’s breasts.
The singer said in response; “It’s not true. Years ago, was it [actress] Betty Grable, or one of the great famous stars that was famous also for her legs? At that time, I said ‘Well maybe I should get my boobs insured since I’m famous for them.’
“It was just a joke. I didn’t do that. By the way, you can get new boobs but you can’t get new legs!”
In September 2020, Parton opened up to PEOPLE about some of the most bizarre rumours she’s heard about herself.
She said at the time; “I always laugh at them. One, it shows up about every three years in the tabloids, where I’m bedridden because my boobs are so heavy that I’m crippled for life on my back. I just laugh. Well, they are heavy, but they haven’t crippled me yet.”
“And then they find a picture of me, from when I was actually doing a video, you know, laying on all the bed somewhere. And the story is that my spine is injured or whatever. I just think, ‘Oh my Lord. If they were that heavy, I’d have them changed. I’d have them lessened.”
