Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Emmanuel Ajayi, told the court that Messrs Oyedele and Ereze and others at large committed the offence on October 22 at 10:40 p.m. at Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos.

He said that the men also belong to an unlawful society known as “Aiye” confraternity and that they were armed with dangerous weapons with intent to commit a felony with robbery.

The prosecutor said that when questioned, they were unable to provide a satisfactory account of why they were with dangerous weapons.
