Elon Musk explains why he purchase Twitter

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has claimed that Apple has threatened to yank the Twitter app from the iOS App Store. If this occurs, Twitter won’t be available for download by iPhone users.

Musk claimed that Apple’s action against Twitter is being taken because Apple opposes the “free speech” that Twitter (under Musk) stands for.

Along with threatening to ban Twitter from the App Store, Musk also revealed that Apple had mostly stopped running advertisements on Twitter. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, was criticized by Musk in a string of tweets yesterday, requesting him to clarify the situation.

As of the time this report was filed, Apple had not yet responded to Musk’s assertions.

The owner of Twitter made a suggestion that Apple might not be in favor of Twitter because of free speech even though the business has not stated why it wants to ban Twitter from its store. He stated:

“Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America? Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store but won’t tell us why. This is a battle for the future of civilization. If free speech is lost even in America, tyranny is all that lies ahead.”
What’s going on here, @tim cook?, Musk said in response to another tweet that included the Apple CEO. Cook has not spoken about the situation.

In the meantime, Musk claims he would shortly reveal how Twitter has been stifling free speech prior to his takeover. The Twitter Files on the repression of free speech will shortly be posted on Twitter itself. The general public deserves to know the truth, he declared.

Before paying $44 billion to buy Twitter, Musk had promised to use the service to support free speech by enabling users to express their opinions without being muzzled. Following the purchase, he removed the ban on a number of accounts that Twitter had previously suspended for breaking its rules, including the former president of the United States, Donald Trump.

Elon Musk has also declared that he will restore all suspended Twitter accounts and grant them a fresh start as a form of amnesty.
