Ademola Adeleke is a Nigerian politician and businessman. As a senator, he represented the Osun-west senatorial district from 2017-2019. He equally contested in the 2018 Osun State gubernatorial elections and lost to the incumbent governor, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola.
At the moment, however, he has been declared the winner of the 2022 Osun State gubernatorial election, defeating Oyetola with over 50,000 votes.

Ademola Adeleke is from the prestigious Adeleke family from Ede in Osun State. The family is a popular Nigerian family made up of millionaires and a billionaire. He is the Uncle of Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, who is the son of the richest member of the Adeleke family, Adedeji Adeleke.
Education
Adeleke attended quite a number of primary and secondary schools before eventually moving to a higher institution. He commenced his primary education at Methodist Primary School, Surulere Lagos before relocating to Old Oyo State where he attended Nawarudeen Primary School, Ikire.
He began his secondary school at The Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Ede before moving to Ede Muslim Grammar School Ede, where he finished.
After his secondary institution, he relocated to the United States to join his two older brothers. In the U.S, he attended Jacksonville State University, Alabama in the United States where he majored in criminal justice with a minor in political science. Later on, he enrolled at Atlanta Metropolitan State College in the U.S, where he obtained a BSc in criminal justice in 2021.
Career
Before venturing into politics as a career, Ademola Adeleke worked in the private sector and made a name for himself. In the U.S, he worked as a service contractor for Quicksilver Courier Company from 1985 to 1989 and also with Origin International LLC as vice president from 1990 to 1994.
As a businessman and administrator, he was the executive director of Guinness Nigeria Plc between 1992-1999. He was also the group executive director at Pacific Holdings Limited, owned by his brother, from 2001 to 2016.
Political Career
Adeleke’s political race did not start with the 2022 elections. He began his political career in 2001 with his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died in April 2017. After the death of his brother, Adeleke won the by-election, taking over from his brother and staying in office till 2019 under the People’s Democratic Party.
In 2018, he emerged as the governorship Candidate for PDP in Osun State, defeating Akin Ogunbiyi. He later lost the gubernatorial elections to Gboyega Oyetola after much back and forth on the results.
In 2022 however, Adeleke won the July 16 gubernatorial election under the People’s Democratic Party, defeating the incumbent governor, Oyetola with 402,979 votes to 375,077.
