Actor and Filmmaker Olaiya Igwe Reveals Reason He Went Naked To Show Support For Tinubu
Olaiya Igwe, a veteran Nollywood actor, has spoken out after his naked video went viral online and explained his motivations.

- According to the words of the actor in the video, the caller refused him help when he needed him/her and as a result does not have the right to chastise him for his decision to help who has helped him in the past
- He confirmed that during his near death experience, it was Remi Tinubu, the wife of APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu that saw to his recovery by helping with medical bills and other expenses
Olaiya Igwe, a veteran Nollywood actor, has spoken out after his naked video went viral online and explained his motivations. Recall the actor went to the beach naked to pray for Bola Tinubu, the APC’s candidate for the presidential office in the 2023 election.
In a video that he shared to defend himself, he was seen speaking on the phone with someone who appeared to have called to chastise him for his behaviour. Olaiya Igwe in turn, scolded the individual by questioning him/her it they cared for him while he was ill and near death. The actor claims that the person rejected his calls for assistance when he was in the hospital, but Remi Tinubu rushed to his aid and saw to it that he received the necessary care.
These were his words:
“Did you not hear I was sick some times back? How much did you send me? Were you not always ignoring my calls then?
The time I was sick, Remi called Ajala Jalingo to take me to Ikeja Teaching Hospital that they should take care of me and on the third day, she called and ask me if I have American visa and if I don’t have a visa, they should quickly arrange it for me.
So her husband will now come out for a position and I won’t support? I cannot be a bastard and support one unfortunate person now”
