1. Army Moves Tactical Headquarters to Mangu, Launches Operation Hard Nut After Plateau Killings
The Nigerian Army has moved its tactical headquarters to Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State for two weeks and launched Operation Hard Nut following an attack that killed about 25 people in Bi Mper community. 2. Army, DSS and Vigilantes Kill 24 Bandits, Foil Mass Kidnap in Katsina
Troops of the Nigerian Army, operatives of the Department of State Services and members of the Katsina Community Watch Corps have killed at least 24 bandits and foiled a planned mass kidnapping in Katsina State. Several victims were rescued during the joint operation, while weapons were recovered from the attackers.

3. FAAC Shares Record N3.007 Trillion July Revenue to FG, States and LGs
The Federation Account Allocation Committee has approved the distribution of a record N3.007 trillion in July 2026 revenue to the Federal Government, 36 states and 774 local government councils. The figure represents the highest monthly allocation recorded under the current administration.
The Federal Government received N1.146 trillion, states received N943.352 billion, while local governments got N673.649 billion. An additional N243.478 billion was shared as 13 per cent derivation revenue.
