Pastor Condemns Rice Distribution
In a video shared on X on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Ojo said he was “crying for the people of Osun State” over the distribution of rice to residents while urging them to support the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was seen speaking into a microphone in what appeared to be a church setting, while footage of the rice distribution was shown alongside his comments. His remarks have generated mixed reactions online, with some viewers interpreting them as a condemnation of alleged vote inducement.
Rice Distribution Video Circulates
The pastor’s comments were linked to an earlier viral video involving Alhaja Falilat Yusuf, popularly known as Ero-Arike, who was seen distributing packs of rice to residents in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area.
Yusuf appeared in APC-branded clothing while sharing the food items and calling on recipients to support the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji. She also claimed the rice was provided by the wife of a former Osun governor, although that claim has not been independently verified.
Some versions of the distribution footage also showed her warning recipients who collected the rice but failed to support the APC at the polls.

Ojo’s reaction has divided social media users, with some praising him for speaking against the use of food items during election campaigns. Others questioned the religious framing of his criticism and pointed to the wider political contest in Osun State.
