Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his partner, Elizabeth Amadou Aminata, known as Jarvis, drew a massive online audience on Saturday as their traditional wedding ceremony reportedly attracted more than 50,000 livestream viewers.
The colourful ceremony followed the couple’s traditional introduction and bride-price payment in Benin City, Edo State, in June, as well as their civil wedding held in late July.
Thousands Joined the Celebration Online
The wedding was streamed across platforms including YouTube and Twitch, allowing fans from different parts of the world to witness the event in real time.
Videos from the ceremony showed guests dressed in coordinated maroon and gold traditional attire, with singing, dancing and congratulatory messages filling the livestream chat.
Viewer counts displayed during parts of the broadcast fluctuated between 16,000 and 23,000, while reports indicated the total live audience exceeded 50,000 during the celebration.
