Nigerian media personality and content creator Tunde Perry has revealed that his wife allows him one “free day” every month, saying the arrangement has helped strengthen their marriage over the past 10 years.

Perry made the disclosure during a recent TikTok Live session, where he spoke about the unique understanding he shares with his wife.

How the arrangement works

According to Perry, he chooses the date at the beginning of every month, and on that day, his wife neither calls him nor checks on his whereabouts.

“My wife gives me one free day in a month to go out and chill. We’ve been married for about 10 years, so we understand ourselves. I choose the date from the beginning of the month,” he said.

He added that once he returns home, his wife jokingly collects his phones and assigns him extra household chores.

‘It’s better than having two wives’

Perry said the arrangement has strengthened their relationship and discouraged any thoughts of polygamy.

“You must have that kind of understanding so you can enjoy your relationship. It’s not good to have two or three wives,” he said.

When asked what would happen if one of his outings resulted in another relationship, Perry laughed off the suggestion, saying it would only cost him his next “free day.”
