RM biography
RM, formerly Rap Monster, is a famous South Korean rapper, songwriter, and producer, best known as a member of the hip-hop group, BTS ‘Bangtan Boys’. He is also popularly known as ‘ Rapmon ‘ by the South Korean fans of him. He is the youngest member of this hip-hop group, being part of the 7 members of BTS: Jungkook , V , RM , Jimin , Jin , Suga and J-Hope .
He was a brilliant student and did extremely well academically. However, he started rapping at a young age and decided to make it his career. He started out as a solo artist and sang with a few local groups before joining the ‘Bantan Boys’ . After joining the ‘Bantan Boys’ , he became the leader of the group as well as the main rapper and songwriter. He has collaborated with some of the famous Korean and international rappers to produce music that has gone viral on the Internet.
His endorsements include ‘K’hawah’ coffee and a number of South Korean products. Beginnings in the life of RM
Rap Monster was born as Kim Nam-joon on September 12, 1994 in Ilsan-gu, Goyang, South Korea. He grew up with his younger sister, Kim Geong Min in Soul. During his elementary school days he was impressed by the uniforms and wanted to be a security guard for a housing society.
He attended Global Cyber University, majoring with honors in Broadcasting and Performing Art. He was among the top ranked on the school’s national exam and earned a TOEIC score of over 900, which is commendable. She also had a very high IQ. She learned her native language and Japanese in school and also became fluent in English by watching popular American sitcoms like ‘ Friends ‘. He also studied in New Zealand for a while and taught himself English, which he considered essential.

BTS, an acronym for Beyond The Scene (also known as 방탄소년단 or Bangtan Sonyeondan in Korean, and防弾少年団 or Bōdan Shōnendan in Japanese, literally meaning “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”, is a boy group K- Pop, influenced by hip-hop consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jungkook.

BTS released the group’s first album since completing their Love Yourself trilogy in 2019 , MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA marked the beginning of a new thematic chapter for BTS .
The album’s theme centers on Carl Jung’s theory that personality archetypes are the fundamentals of character. This album focuses on the persona archetype, which is the mask an individual dons to maintain an image. Obviously, the concept photos in the album represent the preparation process of the person.
The album title MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA was previously announced during an introductory video at MAMA in December 2018. It is also the best-selling album in the history of the Hanteo chart, having sold 1.4 million copies, more than any album has sold in an entire week. The album also became the best-selling album of all time in Hanteo Chart history by reaching 2.1 million sales.
The group took a short break in 2019, returning earlier this month with the release of “Black Swan” , a song from the new album and later released the promotional singles of what would become their new record material ” EGO ” and ” Shadow ” which managed to position themselves within the most successful songs in their week of release worldwide.
