Beginnings in the life of Lucero

Lucero Hogaza León, better known only as Lucero in the world of music, came into the world on the date of August 29, 1969 in Mexico City.

It is considered that the beginnings of her artistic career occurred at the early age of 10, when she was known as Lucerito and appeared on television programs such as Alegrías de mediodía and Chiquilladas. In addition to the fact that she appeared with the position of hostess in singing contests for children called Juguemos a cantar and América esta es tu canción.

A short time later, in 1982, when he was only 13 years old, “Lucerito” recorded his first known album under the name Te prometo . Soon after, he was the protagonist of his first telenovela called Andrea Celeste. We cannot ignore his appearance in the film known under the title Coqueta, in which he acted alongside  Pedro Fernández , being one of the films of Mexican cinema that has had the best reception.

Later, in 1985, Lucero was part of the cast of the film entitled Fiebre de amor , in which she had the famous singer Luis Miguel as a co-star , with whom she shared a Silver Goddess; That same year he released the musical production called Fire and tenderness.

The following year, in 1986, Lucero  released the LP known as Un pedacito de mí , whose most successful singles were: “All the love in the world” and “Era la primera vez”. Shortly after, in 1987, we saw her in the movie Escapate conmigo. While in 1988 he was in the film called I would like to be a man, we cannot ignore the fact that this year with the label of the record company called Melody he released the album called Lucerito with his stage name at that time , whose musical themes The most successful were: “Don’t talk to me about him”, “Your faithful friend”, “Millions better than you”, and “Go with her”.

Later, in 1989, Lucero starred in the telenovela Cuando llega el amor , where she was also in charge of interpreting the musical theme of the telenovela, having as co-stars Nailea Norvind, Omar Fierro , Irán Eory, and Eric del Castillo under production by Carla Estrada.

Not much time had passed when he released the LP Cuéntame, from which the songs known as: “Corazón adrift”, “Cuéntame”, and “Tanto” emerged, without a doubt “Cuéntame” became one of the greatest successes of his artistic career and one of the most remembered of Lucero,  in addition the song “Cuéntame” was listed as one of the 100 most representative songs of the 1980s of the musical genre of pop in Spanish, appearing in second place on Billboard’s Top Latin Songs for a period of time that exceeded 25 weeks in the countries of Argentina, Mexico and Costa Rica. Similarly, the song “Corazón adrift” was at number 8 on Billboard’s Top Latin Songs in Mexico, while it was first in Costa Rica and fifth in Argentina.

Already in the year 1990 Lucero made the decision to experiment with the ranchera music genre by releasing the album in CD format called Con mi sentimiento ; which was such a success that it earned two platinum certifications.

Soon after , Lucero  presented the single known as “I only think of you”, which was followed by “Ya no” and “Electricidad”, both songs had Rafael Pérez Botija as composer, appearing as number one in the hits of Mexico that year.

Later, in 1992, he released the album Lucero de México, in which the songs “Sad memories”, “Que no queda huella” by José Guadalupe Esparza and “Llorar” by Joan Sebastián were particularly successful. The following year, in 1993, he released the album Lucero , which included the song called “Los parientes pobres”, which appeared together with the telenovela of the same name. We cannot ignore the fact that in this same production for the small screen , Lucero had a leading role alongside Ernesto Laguardia. Shortly after, in the same year, he released the album Siempre contigo.

Already in the middle of the year 2000, Lucero  returned to soap operas, starring in the telenovela called My destiny is you , being the interpreter of the main theme called “My destiny” where she shared star credits with Jorge Salinas  and Jaime Camil . Shortly after, in 2002, she gave a concert at the National Auditorium accompanied by Plácido Domingo to benefit the Vamos México Foundation. Then, in 2004, she was a co-star in the film known by the name of Zapata, the hero’s dream. While the following year, 2005, she was part of the cast of the play known by the name of Regina in which she would have her scandal with the “guarurazo” ; and in the world of soap operas she appeared in Alborada.

This is how in 2006 he released the album called Love me as I am , which obtained a Gold Record certification, we cannot ignore the fact that it was in that same year that he was in charge of presenting the Latin Grammy Awards. with Víctor Manuelle in New York City.

Later, in 2007, on the occasion of the celebration of 27 years of his artistic career, Lucero gave a concert at the National Auditorium. While in 2008 she was in a radio program broadcast over the internet that was known under the title of ¿Qué onda Lucero? And shortly after he returned to the world of soap operas with Mañana es para siempre, where he was until the end of its broadcast in 2009.

Then, in 2010, Lucero  was part of the cast of the telenovela Soy tu dueña, while launching the album known as Indispensable, which, thanks to the song “Dueña de tu amor” , was nominated at the People en Español Awards in the “song of the year” category.

A year later, in 2011 , Lucero  released My Secret of Love; in 2012 the album Un Lu*Jo in collaboration with the now deceased singer Joan Sebastián. In addition to the fact that she starred in the telenovela called Por ella soy Eva alongside Jaime Camil , being the first time in which  Lucero was not the protagonist, since she had the role of antagonist.  Soon after, in 2015, she released the EP Dona Desse Amor, in which she sang some of her most successful songs in Portuguese. While in 2016 she was a guest in the soap opera Carinha de Anjo, a local adaptation of the famous soap opera Carita de ángel.

The following year, in 2017, he presented the album Enamorada , as well as the album Brasileira , an album in which Lucero sang entirely in Portuguese . In 2018, he released Más enamorada con banda and Enamorada en vivo, later, in 2019, he stood out for the publication of the albums called Brasileira en vivo and Sólo me faltabas tú and a year later  Lucero released the album Lucero 20y20 .

In August 2021, the reality show called “El Retador” premiered in which some participants should show their best talents to continue within the program and thus become true experts in their respective fields.
