Who are  One Heart?

Un corazón is a Christian musical group that was born in 2012 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico . Its founder was Steven Richards, a member of the Olivo community church, whose pastor is Marcos Richards. Throughout their successful career they have achieved musical successes such as; Jesus Christ is enough, Heaven on earth, Only you, Flashes, Psalm 23, among many more, being Un corazón one of the most successful Christian music groups of all time.

Beginnings of One Heart

Un corazón is a Christian musical group that was born in 2012 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Its founder was Steven Richards, a member of the Olivo community church, whose pastor is Marcos Richards. In its beginnings, the musical group was combined with conferences dedicated to a youth audience, which they maintain until today in the event known as the UNCRZN annual congress.

The musical group Un Corazón has always had as its main objective to make songs that motivate young people to approach the Christian church. Therefore, in musical terms, its sound has been defined as music that oscillates between the traditional and the experimental with the proposal of electronic and organic textures, where we can find both celebratory and meditative themes. So that although the music is expressed in different dynamics and nuances, the central theme of the songs is always the same: Jesus.

The band’s vocalists are Steven and Lluvia Richards, Kim Richards and Louie Abrego, among many others who have joined over the years and others who have left; the media have defined them as follows: ” A heart is firmly planted in their church, Comunidad Olivo, and that is the environment where they collaborate and develop week by week, while living and growing spiritually in community.”

Trajectory and history of Un Corazón

Regarding your members of One Heart  , we have to start by talking about Steven Richards , who has made a career in the community teaching ministry, in addition to being reputed to be one of the main preachers at UNCRZN conferences; same that are given three days a year, and where speakers and pastors participate whose mission is the building of the church in Latin America as an institution that inspires and encourages the new generations to believe and put their dreams in the figure of Jesus Christ.

This is how this objective has been expressed in the following words: “The band’s sound is characterized by being full of layers, textures, rhythms and melodies from the heart. His first album with CanZion, Espejos, exposed the soul of its members, exposing in each song the dire need of the human condition, as well as the overwhelming wave of the grace of Jesus Christ.

The album called Espejos de Un Corazón  was distinguished mainly by the song called “Eterna luz”. Subsequently, in 2017 they released the album known as Somos Iglesia, in whose content the songs of: “Somos Iglesia”, “Jesus Christ is enough”, and “God is love” were distinguished.

While the following year, in 2018 the group  Un Corazón  made public the album known under the title of Hola, Futuro, in which the songs of: “Hello, future”, “You are”, “Prodigal” were distinguished. , “Psalm 23”, “God of the impossible”, and “Psalm 23 ft. Marco Barrientos.

Later, in 2019, the members of Un Corazón  released the album Ríos de luz, in which they highlighted the song known with the same name as the album and during the past year 2020 we must point out that they released the albums : Heaven on Earth (where the songs of Heaven on Earth, All Earth, Fruits, Paradise, and More Than Ever stood out), and Love Letter.

We cannot ignore the fact that during 2019, the musical group Un Corazón was nominated at the GMA Dove Awards, with the category of Spanish-language Album of the Year” thanks to the album Hola, futuro, while also the song “Salmo 23” in collaboration with the artist Marco Barrientos was considered in the category of “Song recorded in Spanish language of the year”.

Regarding these awards, we must point out that since 1998 the Gospel Music Association (whose name in Spanish is Asociación de Música Gospel) created a special category for Christian music which it called “Spanish-language album of the year”. while for the year 2017 the category of “song recorded in Spanish language of the year” was integrated; all this thanks to the great success that  Un Corazón was achieving and without a doubt one of its greatest merits. In addition , “Un Corazón” began to have even greater success than other Christian music figures such as Alex Campos , Redimi2 ,  Christine D’Clario ,  Evan Craft , Un Corazón , among others.

We cannot forget that Un Corazón  has had important collaborations with other Christian music groups, such as the band Lead, which was born in 2015 in the country of Guatemala, along with those who sang the song “I no longer have a heart” . It was described by the entertainment press as: “a theme that expresses divine love for Christ and the good things that happen when you approach him with a prayer.” To which later, to speak of both interpreters, it was added that:“But this song is made even more special by the collaboration of the band belonging to the largest Church in Guatemala, Lead, this was formed in 2015 to start a different movement but with the same purpose: to transmit the word of God to new people. members; and according to the members of the band, it has always been a dream to collaborate with Un Corazón .”
