Who are  Treasures?

Beginnings of Treasure

Treasure is a musical group that is dedicated to the genre of K-pop or Korean pop; made up of pure men. We should note that the group was previously called Treaaure 13, and they adopted that name because their first appearance was on a survival game show called YG Treasure Box.

We also know that at the beginning the musical group was made up of 13 members, and was divided into two sub-groups known by the names of: Treasure and Magnum, however, when Ha Yoon-bin left the group and definitively left the company of YG Entertainment ended up rejecting the idea of ​​maintaining two sub-groups and the decision was made to form one under a single name, for which the first sub-group remained: Treasure .

It is our knowledge that it was until January 6 of last year 2020 when YG Entertainment published a photo with 12 formal members of the group that would allegedly make their debut, in the same way new social networks were released. This is how on August 7, 2020 Treasure made its official debut with the song known as “Boy”.

Trajectory and history of Treasure

It is important that we point out that prior to their debut, the members of the musical group Treasure had already made themselves known individually in the artistic world. This is how we have Ye-dam, Ji-hoon and Do-young made their first appearance on the small screen with the television program that was known as Stray Kids on the date of November 21, 2017.

It was around this time that Hyun-suk and Jun-kyu appeared on the JTBC survival show MIXNINE, and Ye-dam and Hyun-suk had a cameo appearance in the YG series Future Strategy Office, in which a Simulation of the monthly evaluation made by YG Entertainment’s coaches.

Later, at the end of 2017, 29 trainees were announced by the company YG Entertainment through the survival program called YG Treasure Box on the date of November 17. Among these notable and talented participants were the names of: Choi Hyun-suk and Kin Jun-kyu; Haruto, Ye-dam, Jung-hwan and Jun-kyu joined for the final. A short time later Jeong-woo, Jae-hyuk and Hyun-suk joined, already calling themselves Treasure .

Subsequently, on January 29, 2019, a second alignment was made. Then it was revealed that some of the members of the Treasure group had not been selected in the final stretch. It was when Yoon-bin, Mashiho, Do-young, Yoshinori, Ji-hoon, and Asahi formed the Magnum group. But YG Entertainment did not want to leave out any of the boys, and that is how they made the decision to call both groups Treasure 13, which was rather known by the public Treasure Maker, a name that was abbreviated as Teume, which they shared with His Followers.

Prior to their official debut, a series of promotional posters for the music group was released, which was accompanied by appearances on the small screen by Kwon Hyun-bin, Haruto, Hyun-suk, Jun-kyu, Ye-dam, and Jung- hwan.
This is how it is considered that despite the internal problems that spread in the YG Entertainment company, the musical group Treasure made its pre-debut between the months of January and July of last year 2020. This is how we have to point out that from the date of January 7, photos of the singers began to be published every 15 days, giving these publications the name “Treasure Editorial”.

At the same time, a program called “ Treasure Map ” came out, which premiered a chapter every Friday at 12:00 pm, which was based on different Korean television programs such as Knowing Bros, Amazing Saturday, and 3 meals a day. What this program was about was to publicize the personality and the relationship of friends that the members of the group had. Although we should not think that this would be their only appearance on television, since they were also present in the 3-minute program with Treasure , with a similar theme, but with the particular characteristic that, as the title indicates, each episode had a duration of 3 minutes.

Another television appearance that we cannot forget is Treasure Maker Interaction (abbreviated with the initials TMI), whose development consists of showing behind the scenes of music production. In the same way, we are aware of the T-TALK show, in which viewers could see two members of the group talking to each other and giving each other clues about a mysterious keyword.

We cannot leave aside Treasure’s reality show known as FACT CHECK , where the members of the group put themselves to the test in front of the public, asking themselves questions about events they have experienced together and things they have done, and trying to find out if they what they are saying was real or not.

While after their official debut, they released the individual album known as The First Step: Chapter Two on the date of September 18 of last year 2020. It was followed by the album The First Step: Chapter Three on which premiered on the date of November 6.

In the artistic trajectory of the musical group Treasure , we have to mention the release of the album known by the name of The First Step: Trasure Effect, which was available from January 11 of this year 2021. We can’t forget about the fact that they have released their first album in Japanese in the month of March in the same way; which was known under the name of The First Step: TREASURE Effect , which includes 13 songs, the theme “Beautiful” being the original and unpublished, written from the beginning in Japanese, and which has been used as the main closing theme from the animated series known as Black Clover.
